Prepay Mobile is has helped put a telephone in everyone’s hands, but broadband still requires a landline and an expensive term contract. In this session we’ll talk about how Facebook and Google are bridging the digital divide in developing markets using 3G data, and how we could apply their ideas to opening up socially beneficial information to anyone in New Zealand with a smartphone and a SIM card.
